In Haybes, France, we stopped at a campground and an hour later to guys in kayaks joint us. This was the first meeting with an other expedition. They were following the river Le Meuse from the beginning to the sea. This was an interesting evening, telling stories and sharing the pain and joy of being on an expedition.
Right now we are fighting the current on the river Le Meuse and we are being pushed psychologically. The current is not getting any better, with all the rain we have had lately. We are going a long way around because of at closed canal, no help from the sail, there is still a loooong way to the Mediterranean Sea and we had difficulties paddling the daily amountโฆ This gives tensions on the water and land, but it is all a part of being on expedition, maybe the biggest difference between holiday and expedition. We need to get far south before the winter. We will keep on fighting and it helps a lot with all the nice comments, thanks a lot for that!!
